Target

Jan has taking inspiration from the op art works of artists such as Sir Peter Blake to create a bold pattern using a variety of colours she creates a functional fabric blending colours to create pattern within pattern in an op art manner, also her signature patriotic MOD inspired fabric based on the R.A.F roundel as well as contemporary lifestyle.

Stitch

Jan has taken inspiration from her love of embroidery  finding similar patterns have been worked independently in different cultures  from Blackwork and Sashiko. Jan morphs from one pattern to another along the length of a woven piece to produce limited numbers of work.

Alba

Jan has taken inspiration from her Picktish roots using the Key Pattern found on standing stones on the east coast of Scotland as well work from artist George Bain. Jan uses the “never ending” pattern and her love of colour to produce two coloured and contemporary striped using Scottish colour blended yarns to produce a limited run of fabric.
